Project Details

Roof Condition

Roof Type – grey asbestos.

Age – 1960s.

Size – 300m2

Issues – This roof was in fair but worn condition and the owner was concerned that the look of the roof would affect the sale price as well as having concerns over safety. The owner could not afford a roof replacement at this time so asked for a roof coating to “seal” the roof and improve the look.

Approach

Process Used – Spray painting with appropriate water-based paint and safety equipment.

Results

Outcome– Coating this roof provided an improved look as well as ensuring the asbestos was well sealed against any exposed cracks emitting asbestos particles into the air.

Summary– The look of the roof was dramatically improved and the asbestos was effectively sealed, making it safer. Note that we also can coat your tiled or metal roof as well.

Time Taken – 3 days in total including all preparation and use of safety equipment.
